Water Crisis

Hi All,

As we all are aware, we are would be facing water crisis during morning times and during late nights because of empty overhead tank which would take time to get water after informing security.

If overhead tanks were empty during morning 7-10 AM it would take minimum 20-30 minutes to get water in our taps, due to this most of us would be late to office. From couples of days it had become worst because of non-functional intercom.

I have couple of suggestion to overcome this:

1. Turning on the water pump on time-based rather than waiting for some to inform security to turn on the pump
2. Install a water level controller for these pumps. We might require 2 systems as we have two pumps (cost of this would be roughly around INR 2,500 to INR 3,500 each), this would have the following features:
1. Over water and under water alarm for overhead water tanks and it would turn ON/OFF pump automatically
2. Underwater level alarm and controller for sump if water goes below specified level in the sump pump would be turned OFF automatically

I would request you all to give your views and suggest some other good solution to get rid of this problem.
